I just added an obituary to the website for Rose Courtney. Rose was a servant for Lt. George Wallace at Fort Meade. She was killed when the cabin she was living in burned down.
Wallace was killed at Wounded Knee in December of 1890. He is one of the more obscure officers of the 7th Cavalry. Below is a photo of Wallace in front of the Custer House at Fort Lincoln (Custer is to the right of Wallace).
