Yesterday's trip to the SD Archives was well worth it. I found two obituaries for Weihe and one for Lattman. I have searched for the Lattman one before. He is buried in Elk Vale Cemetery outside of Rapid City so I had been searching in the Rapid City area papers but couldn't find anything. Yesterday I checked the old reliable Sturgis Weekly Record and indeed they had one. I also found a couple of newspaper clippings dealing with Max Hoehn. I will get these all transcribed and put up on the website.

I have started to make a list of the books I want to buy during our Montana Mayhem II trip this June. The more you read on Custer, the Little Big Horn, and the Plains Indian Wars, the harder it is to find the books you want. The typical Barnes and Noble or Borders doesn't have anything that I don't already own... or want to own. That's why I have to stock up when I get the chance. The other problem you run into is that the older books are sometimes quite expensive. I am making a list this year so I make sure I find the ones I want and don't haphazardly buy a bunch I don't need. I already know I will buy more than planned but what the hell...

Take care.
